Mediapark
The Media Park in Hilversum, Europe's largest media cluster, is home to more than 100 different media companies and serves as a bustling workplace for around 6,000 professionals every day. With prominent international media giants like NOS, RTL, NEP, EMG, and ITV among its residents, the significance of this media hub is undeniable.Five years had passed since the inception of Media Park's website, and it was due for a complete redesign. The task was entrusted to a dedicated team, with my role being to manage the entire UX process. The challenge was to create an engaging, user-friendly website that catered to the diverse needs of various target groups associated with Media Park.
Our first objective was to focus on the information architecture. Given Media Park's diverse range of target audiences, each with unique needs and preferences, it was essential to ensure that every user could easily locate the information they were seeking on the website. Through careful analysis, we identified four primary target segments: Companies, Professionals, Students and Visitors.
The redesigned website was well-received by both Media Park stakeholders and users, garnering praise for its aesthetics, ease of use, and engaging storytelling. This successful transformation of the online platform not only strengthened Media Park's digital presence but also solidified its reputation as the epicenter of the European media landscape.
